The Green Building

IRRAD has chosen to lead by example by building a new smart facility combining simplicity of design with environment-friendly technologies. Some of the key features of the building are:

  •  35 kWP photovoltaic solar panels

  •  Energy-efficient heating/cooling and lighting

  • Waste-water recycling

  • Zero water runoff from the site
 
 


Library

Rural development is a top issue at national and state policy levels in India. However, researchers often face difficulty in accessing the most up to date information and literature on rural development. To bridge this gap, IRRAD has built an easy-to-access library for students, researchers, civil society organizations, and advocacy groups. To strengthen overall research capacity, the library provides online access to journals, books, and data. It also provides a range of web based services and software support.
