Communication

The communications team manages IRRAD's internal and external communications, coverage in electronic and traditional media, public relations, and volunteers. Its goal is to position IRRAD as a premier knowledge institute working for the development of rural India.

 
 

Information Dissemination

  • Publishing: Annual Report, brochures, research findings in short article form, case studies, success stories, etc.

  • Newsletters: Vikas Patrika (a Hindi quarterly) and IRRAD Connect (a bi-monthly e-newsletter in English)

  • Organizational films and issue-based documentaries

  • Building capacities via mediums like community radio

  • Organizing seminars and conferences


Media Relations

Resource Mobilization and Partnerships

The resource mobilization team engages in strategic partnerships that build strong, sustainable synergies for rural development. It seeks participation from various organizations that can contribute innovative ideas and technologies to address the expressed needs of its clients, the village poor. It also aims to promote the concept of “adopt a village” to donor organizations, philanthropists, and corporate organizations.

  • Secure resources from donor organizations and government agencies to scale up operations and bring more villages under development

Finance, Administration, Capital Projects and IT

The members of this group are responsible for the overall management of IRRAD's financial, human resource, and administrative systems. They focus on integrating processes within IRRAD, as well as outside the organization with key partners, suppliers, and customers. They ensure that resources are utilized effectively and efficiently to provide maximum benefit to the rural communities, and that IRRAD and donors comply with procurement and reporting regulations in a transparent, accountable, and organized manner. The IT team manages IRRAD's computer systems and strengthens the IT capabilities of the staff through computer literacy training including web-based information retrieval.
