Newsroom - News The Sehgal Foundation Supported All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) to Organize Eye Camp in Nagina Gurgaon June, 2005 – The Sehgal Foundation actively participated and supported organizing an eye camp initiated by All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) in Nagina. Under this reach-out program, visually impaired patients with operable cataracts were identified in the screening camps and transported to the Rajendra Prasad Center , AIIMS for free IOL implant surgery. A total of 439 patients were screened during the camp, of which 157 including four children were identified for the surgery. These patients were picked-up from their villages in groups of 12 starting from May 4 th to 27 th and taken to AIIMS. A follow up camp will be organized on 23 rd June, 2005 in Nagina to examin the operated patients for further treatment, if any. The Sehgal Foundation assisted publicizing the camp in the villages and provided transportation for all the operated patients from and to their villages. A second phase of this camp will be organized in Firozpur Jhirka covering 19 villages (more than 1,00,000 population) in July, 2005 For further information please contact: The
