United by a shared commitment to empowering rural communities, thanks to the recurring collaborators and supporters from government agencies, nonprofits, academia, and corporations that have a tangible role in the success and progress achieved by the foundation. The story of this transformation began to take on new dimensions in the year 2014 when India's Companies Act mandated that corporations with a specified net worth must allocate a minimum of 2 percent of their net profits over the preceding three years to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. This legal requirement provided a significant incentive for companies to engage in meaningful CSR projects, and S M Sehgal Foundation quickly became a preferred partner for such initiatives.Across rural India, the foundation has implemented a diverse range of CSR projects, each tailored to meet the unique needs of the communities they serve. Each project is a promising example of the power of collaboration and the shared vision of uplifting rural India.Partner at the school inaugural cermony48
