  • Sehgal Foundation invites applications for the position of Position: Manager, Project Development–Water and Agriculture (South India) Location: Hyderabad, Telangana Reports to: Director, Projects and Fundraising (South) Qualification and Experience:
    1. Masters/Post Graduate degree in relevant field of Natural Resource Management (NRM)–water management, agriculture related disciplines, with successful proven experience of writing grant/ project proposals for donor organizations, for rural villages of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and Telangana in South India.
    2. The candidate should possess experience of minimum five years, in preparing sound technical project proposals for funding agencies/donors for implementation in the area of water management and agriculture development, while contributing to project development process, and developing relevant linkages with various stakeholders, including at local levels with government, village communities, donors and related organizations.
    3. Previous experience of working with rural NGOs in the NRM sector, with good written and interpersonal skills, is highly preferred.
    4. Fluency and proficiency in Southern languages - Telugu and Kannada, is required besides English and Hindi. Additionally, working knowledge of Tamil will also be desirable.
    Key Responsibilities:
    1. Identifying/exploring potential sites and villages for project development in agriculture and water management.
    2. Conceptualizing projects/ideas and responsible for preparing proposals for external agencies/funding organizations for implementation of projects.
    3. Networking with various key stakeholders including corporates/funders, government, local rural/village communities, for contributing to fundraising for the projects.
    4. Facilitating donor visits/meetings and liasing with them for follow-ups.
    5. Working in coordination with the Sehgal Foundation team for aligning with the systems and procedures in process of project conceptualization/proposal preparation for implementation.
    6. Contributing to writing reports and related project documentation/ success stories/articles etc. for wider dissemination.
    7. Ensuring adherence and commitment to organization values, vision, mission, and guiding principles. Performing any other duty, as assigned from time to time.

    Position: Assistant Program Leader-Capacity Building and Governance

    Location: Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh (South India)

    Reports to: Senior Manager - Projects/Director (South)

    Key Responsibility Areas:

    1. Organize awareness programs, Rapport building activities, Focus Group Discussions (FGD) and community mobilization meetings for effective participation of local communities
    2. Liaison with panchayat, block/district administration for permissions/NOC required, if any and coordinate with all stakeholders for smooth implementation
    3. Provide technical support, build capacity and professional skills of the field team
    4. Data collection, analysis, project monitoring, and evaluation
    5. Documentation and dissemination of success stories and writing project report
    6. Facilitating visitors visit to project interventions
    7. Ensure seamless implementation of all project interventions of Sehgal Foundation (SF) programs/centers including Water Management, Agriculture Development, and Good Rural Governance
    8. Formation of Village Level Institution (VLI) and Community based Organization (CBO) and organizing training and capacity building for long term sustainability
    9. Ensure wider replication of interventions demonstrated under SF programs
    10. Coordinate field visits of donors/partners/visitors in the project villages
    11. Provide support to all other programs/centers of SF
    12. Any other duty assigned by organization time to time

    Qualifications: Master’s Degree - social work, rural development, development studies or any other appropriate field of study.

    Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience working with rural communities on rural development issues preferably on Water management, Agriculture Development, and Good Governance
