VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
S M Sehgal Foundation invites applications for the Civil Expert cum Community Mobiliser on an annually renewable fixed-term contract.
Location: Sehlanga-Jhajjhar, Haryana
Reporting: Program Lead -Water Management
Experience: Minimum 4-5 years of experience
Position Requirement:
- B.Sc./B.Tech in Civil Engineering, Geology /Environmental Sciences or related disciplines from a reputed national /state university.
Job Description
- Prepare project proposals, estimates & budget, bills of quantity (BOQ), drawings, timelines etc for ongoing projects.
- Ensure seamless implementation, coordination and monitoring of civil projects.
- Survey, measurement and recording of quantities of works done and raise bills accordingly for payment as per purchased/work order.
- Coordinate with the finance & administration following SOPs regarding invoices, contracts, works order, payments, fund utilization certificates etc.
- Prepare periodic work plans, budgets, financial reports, progress report etc.
- Manage whole project efficiently in close coordination with supervisor & donor.
- Ensure all project deliverables are timely achieved in compliance with plans, targets and allocated budget.
- Maintaining transparent procedures and high-quality standards for implementation.
- Support in designing, development and testing of low cost innovative models of water management at village level and its replication.
- Organize awareness programs, rapport building activities, focus group discussions (FGD) and community mobilization meetings etc in project villages.
- Formation and strengthening of Village Level Institution (VLI) like Water Management Groups (WMG) Village Development Committee (VDC), Operation and Maintenance Committee (OMC) etc for project’s long-term sustainability.
- Coordinate and facilitate field visits of partners and / S M Sehgal Foundation (SMSF) officials to project sites.
- Device and implement strategies to ensure long term sustainability of projects.
- Provide technical support and professional capacity building and them highly motivated.
- Provide support to all other programs/ centres of SMSF on Water Management, Agriculture Development and Local Participation and Sustainability.
- Safe guarding all interest and reputation of SMSF and donor organization in project villages.
- Promote wider replication of demonstrated project interventions by villagers and other agencies.
- Ensuring effective participation of local communities and project beneficiaries specially women.
- Liaison with panchayat/block/district administration or concerned departments for permissions/NOC required, if any for ongoing projects. Coordinate with all stakeholders for smooth execution of project interventions.
- Convergence with govt. programs and schemes leveraging benefits around project interventions.
- Data collection, analysis, monitoring and evaluation, preparing narrative & manage project MIS.
- Documentation and dissemination of success stories and writing project report and outcomes.
- Develop training modules and organize training program around project interventions for all stakeholders.
- Strict adhering to organizational vision, mission and guiding principles of SF
- Any other duty or responsibility assigned by organization or its representative from time to time.
