Project Jaldhara Receives the Global CSR and ESG Award
Anandana, the Coca-Cola India Foundation, was conferred with the Most Impactful CSR Initiative in Water Stewardship 2026 at the Global CSR and ESG Awards on May 8, 2026. The award acknowledged Project Jaldhara’s impact in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, where integrated groundwater recharge interventions, community-managed drinking water systems, and sustained capacity-building efforts have enhanced water security for more than 20,000 residents across ten villages in Maharashtra. Walmart Visit to FPOs
Mr. Nishant Gupta, Advisor to Walmart.org, visited interventions across FPOs in Karnataka. The visit offered a close look at how Farmer Producer Companies are reshaping rural livelihoods and market access for smallholder farmers. Connecting fresh produce to quick commerce platforms, strengthening export linkages, and developing local processing infrastructure, these community-led initiatives are creating stronger and more sustainable economic opportunities at the grassroots. Capacity Building for Sustainable Water and Sanitation Interventions
Aparna Singh, assistant program lead, Food & Nutrition, at S M Sehgal Foundation, participated in a four-day intensive training program on water quality testing and household water treatment, organized by the WASH Institute, Dindigul, Tamil Nadu, in collaboration with CAWST.
The program offered a comprehensive understanding of water contamination, covering chemical, biological, and physical parameters, while combining strong theoretical grounding with hands-on practical exposure. The knowledge gained is further supporting S M Sehgal Foundation’s efforts in driving community awareness and implementing impactful, field-level interventions in water and sanitation.

School Supported by S M Sehgal Foundation Achieves Academic Turnaround
Kannada daily newspaper Prajavani, in its report dated 11 May 2026, highlighted the remarkable academic progress of Bagepalli Girls’ Government Pre-University College. Supported by S M Sehgal Foundation under the Transform Lives one school at a time program in FY 2022–23, the college has achieved a significant turnaround in academic performance, improving its pass percentage from 51% to over 75% within just two years. The transformation was successfully implemented with strengthened infrastructure and improved learning conditions, including the construction of new classrooms, Swachhta Vahini facilities, toilets, rainwater harvesting systems, and providing access to clean drinking water.
