Highlighting the need for stronger participation from different stakeholders, he talked about making water management sustainable, with rainwater harvesting being one of the most practical solutions to address growing water scarcity. He also pointed to the growing dependence on borewell water throughout the year. Since rainwater is available only for a limited period, groundwater recharge technologies are essential to replenish depleted aquifers, maintain the water balance and secure water availability for future generations.
