S M Sehgal Foundation invites applications for the position of Assistant Program Lead.
Location: Amrabad, Nagarkurnool district, Telangana
Experience: Minimum 4 years of experience in community management and project execution/project management.
Position Requirements:
- Master’s degree or minimum 16 years of education in Rural Development, Agriculture, NTFP, Social Sciences, or related field
- Demonstrated experience in stakeholder management and government liaison
- Proven experience in leading and managing teams
- Experience in agriculture and allied activities value chains
- Strong leadership and team management capability
- Strategic planning and execution skills
- Skills in developing vale chains around agriculture and allied commodities.
- Excellent community engagement and facilitation ability
- Stakeholders liasoning and convergence.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex field challenges and drive solutions
- Fluency in Telugu (mandatory); working knowledge of Hindi and/or English
- Willingness to work extensively in rural and remote locations
Job Description:
The Assistant Program Lead will provide strong field leadership for agriculture allied activities and NTFP-based livelihood interventions in Amrabad. The role requires strategic planning, intensive team leadership, stakeholder management, community engagement, and strong execution capability to ensure high-quality project delivery.
Key responsibilities include the following:
- Lead end-to-end implementation of agriculture allied activities and NTFP interventions at field level
- Develop and refine field-level strategies aligned with project goals
- Lead, mentor, and strengthen field teams; build their technical and managerial capacities
- Support teams in resolving field-level challenges and removing bottlenecks
- Drive intensive community engagement processes with rural communities and local institutions
- Establish and manage stakeholder relationships, including liaison with government departments and local administration
- Oversee data collection, data processing, monitoring, and evaluation processes
- Ensure timely reporting, compliance, and achievement of project milestones
- Ensure that S M Sehgal Foundation’s vision, mission, values, culture, policies, and procedures are adhered to
- Undertake any other responsibility assigned by management as per organizational requirements
